Job summary

Anne Arundel County's Department of Public Works seeks a Professional to direct the Bureau of Utility Operations' wastewater support services group, overseeing wet well cleaning, ARV programs, and capital upgrades across WRFs and SPSs, and performing engineering review.

You will manage a nine-person crew and an office support assistant, handle grant management, nutrient credit tracking, compliance reporting, and serve as liaison with State and Federal agencies; a four-year degree plus four years

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in engineering.
• Four or more years of experience in engineering and program management with water or wastewater operations.
• Ability to lead employees and manage programs, grants, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of procurement, contract management, and grant funding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the wastewater support services group within the Wastewater Operations Division.
• Oversee and manage MAR, bio-solids regional facility, SPS capital projects, septage receiving, nutrient credit tracking, and WRF reporting.
• Coordinate grant management and support, compliance activities, and regulatory submissions (DMRs).
• Prepare routine and special reports and metrics; track nutrient credits.
• Liaise with State and Federal agencies to ensure regulatory compliance; review DMR submissions.
• Lead and mentor a nine-person crew and an office support assistant; supervise staff performance.
