Job summary

Kennedy Jenks seeks a Wastewater Process Engineer to join our Washington-based Wastewater Infrastructure team. You will lead planning, design, and optimization of treatment facilities, pump stations, and collection systems.

You will apply engineering analysis, coordinate deliverables with project managers, and communicate with clients and regulators to ensure compliant, reliable wastewater solutions. This role requires a PE track or EIT, 5+ years experience, and a hybrid work model with two days

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of relevant wastewater process engineering experience.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, regulations, technologies, system design, optimization, and compliance documentation.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; progress toward Professional Engineer licensure in Washington preferred.
• Willingness to travel for project sites, meetings, and collaboration with Kennedy Jenks offices.

Responsibilities

• Advance process planning and design of wastewater treatment plans, upgrades, and optimization strategies.
• Evaluate treatment needs through engineering analysis to inform practical solutions.
• Coordinate detailed design and deliverables with Project Managers and Process Leads for wastewater facilities and related infrastructure.
• Improve treatment processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication with clients, regulators, and project teams.
