Kennedy Jenks Consultants in California is seeking a Wastewater Process Engineer to join our Wastewater Infrastructure team. You will support municipal wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects locally and nationally, including planning, process design, facility upgrades, optimization, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of municipal wastewater treatment engineering experience.
• EIT certification required; California PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Willingness to travel for project sites, meetings, and Kennedy Jenks offices.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and delivery of municipal wastewater treatment and infrastructure solutions.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, facility planning, plant upgrades, expansions, pump stations, and collection system improvements.
• Develop and evaluate physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems and related analyses.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, design reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients and regulatory agencies to support permitting and compliance needs.
• Assist with project management tasks including scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Mentor junior staff and stay current on wastewater industry standards and regulatory requirements.
