Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Wastewater licensing or certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office or Google Suite.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and climb ladders.
• Ability to work day and night shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of the wastewater facility during all scheduled shifts (primarily 12-hour night shifts).
• Operate and control electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate water flow; collect and test wastewater samples.
• Analyze lab data to identify treatment issues and implement changes to prevent non-compliance; maintain records.
• Coordinate with other operators, the facility, and Veolia management to maintain equipment and determine optimal methods.
• Complete preventative maintenance and assist with minor projects including pump repair and valve replacement.
• Compile data for daily, weekly, or monthly reports for Veolia and regulatory bodies; may prepare data for EPA or state.
