Veolia Group is seeking a Wastewater Facility Operator to oversee the wastewater treatment plant’s systems and equipment, ensuring purified discharge in compliance with regulations. The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and data-driven decision making.

The position involves night shifts (primarily 12-hour), monitoring pumps and valves, collecting samples, and maintaining records while coordinating with management to optimize treatment methods.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Ability to test and interpret wastewater samples and adjust processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of the wastewater facility across scheduled shifts (primarily 12-hour night shifts).
• Operate and control pumps, valves, and motors to regulate water flow; collect and test wastewater samples.
• Analyze lab data to identify treatment issues and implement process changes to prevent non-compliance; keep accurate records.
• Coordinate with operators and management to maintain equipment and determine optimal treatment methods.
• Complete preventative maintenance and assist with minor maintenance including pump repair and piping.
• Compile data for daily/weekly/monthly operating reports and assist with EPA or state regulatory filings.
