Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Operator to oversee plant systems, operate pumps, valves, and test samples to ensure clean, compliant discharge.

You will work primarily 12‑hour night shifts, perform routine maintenance, record data, and collaborate with a team to optimize treatment processes while pursuing wastewater licensing. Physical effort and safety are essential requirements in this field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Wastewater entry level licensing or certification preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems on 12-hour shifts.
• Test wastewater samples and adjust processes to meet permit requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate with management and other operators.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with minor repairs.
• Prepare data for daily/weekly/monthly reports to Veolia and regulators.
