Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance Technician Trainee to grow in all facets of plant operations. You will work with experienced technicians to learn processes, monitor treatment, and assist with inspections and sample analysis.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork, with a plan for development through training sessions and hands-on practice in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic understanding of wastewater processes and equipment desirable.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Learn principles and processes of wastewater treatment plant operations.
• Assist in operation and maintenance of pumps, valves, blowers, and chemical feeds.
• Monitor and control treatment process to meet regulatory standards.
• Perform routine inspections and tests of treatment processes.
• Assist in collecting and analyzing wastewater samples for labs.
• Support in maintenance and repair of equipment and systems.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge in wastewater treatment operations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of plant operations.
