Job summary

Town of Flower Mound is hiring for wastewater treatment plant operators to maintain and operate the biological and chemical treatment processes and water distribution systems. The role requires a valid Texas Class C Wastewater Operator license before employment and a Class C Water Distribution Certificate within 12 months.

One year of wastewater experience and a valid Texas driver’s license are also required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• TCEQ Class C Wastewater Operator license required prior to employment offer; Class C Water Distribution Certificate within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater plant equipment (pumps, valves, motors, filters) and water distribution systems.
• Monitor wastewater flow, DO, and ammonia; adjust treatment processes.
• Collect wastewater samples and interpret lab results; maintain records and reports.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, and related equipment.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and comply with safety policies.
