Job summary

Town of Flower Mound Public Works is hiring for positions supporting wastewater plant operations and maintenance. The role involves handling pumps, valves, meters, sample collection, and routine housekeeping within the treatment facility. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience in wastewater plant operation or related utility work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance tasks.
• Assist in maintenance of pumps, valves, motors, filters and meters.
• Collect water and wastewater samples as directed.
• Load/unload supplies and chemicals; help repair tanks and basins.
• Report problems, hazards, and deviations to supervisor.
• Operate light to heavy construction equipment (no CDL required).
• Perform building and exterior cleaning, lawn care, and general housekeeping.
• Adhere to safety, policy, and department procedures.
