Gulf Coast Authority in Friendswood, Texas, is seeking a hands-on wastewater treatment operator to support operation and maintenance of the plant. You will monitor flow, collect samples, operate equipment, read meters, and record data to ensure compliance and efficient performance.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of plant operation experience, a Class C Wastewater License (Texas), and a valid Texas Driver's License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of activated sludge wastewater treatment plants.
• Must have a Class "C" Wastewater License issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality; Class "B" preferred.
• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.

Responsabilités

• Monitor operation of wastewater treatment plant including observation of operation, reading meters, and review of plant processes.
• Perform activities necessary to control plant process including collection of samples, adjustment of plant process, and maintenance of required records.
• Perform activities necessary to manage and dispose of sludge from treatment process.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities for plant pumps and equipment.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in and around plant site.
• Communicate with regulatory agency personnel, lab, technical services, equipment services, and Central Office personnel.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
