Job summary

The Town of Flower Mound Public Works is hiring for maintenance roles focused on water, wastewater, and related facilities. The position involves corrective and preventive maintenance of pumps, motors, and control systems at wastewater plants, lift stations, and water pumping stations, with safety and compliance as priorities.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Texas Class C Driver's License, and the ability to obtain a Class C Wastewater Operator's Certificate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License is required.
• Must obtain Class C Wastewater Operator's Certificate within 18 months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective maintenance on equipment at wastewater treatment facilities and pumping stations.
• Perform preventative maintenance as per manufacturers' specifications.
• Maintain equipment maintenance history with part replacements and wear observations.
• Identify causes of equipment failures using specialized instruments and tools.
• Clean and inspect equipment and operate a maintenance workshop.
• Operate light to heavy construction equipment not requiring a CDL.
