Job summary

Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is seeking a Plant Maintenance Manager I – Electrical and Instrumentation at the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant in Cuyahoga Heights, OH. The role oversees HV equipment, substations, PLCs, controls, and instrumentation, directing staff and coordinating asset maintenance to meet plant objectives.

The position emphasizes leadership, budget awareness, and effective problem-solving with contractors and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or completion of maintenance apprenticeship.
• At least three years of electrical and instrumentation maintenance experience beyond apprenticeship.
• Wastewater experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with district guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant electrical and instrumentation equipment and drive maintenance programs using asset management techniques.
• Plan, schedule and supervise installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment including switchgear, PLCs and motors.
• Coordinate with operations and vendors on equipment specifications and purchases.
• Develop and supervise staff, track performance and ensure health, safety and preventive maintenance standards.
