The City of Conroe is seeking a Wastewater Plant Operator responsible for the operation and maintenance at the wastewater treatment plant. Candidates must have at least three years of relevant experience, valid Texas Class 'B' driver’s license, and a current class 'C' Wastewater Certification.
The position offers a starting salary of $23.35 hourly along with comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and a retirement plan. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in varying conditions.
The Wastewater Plant Operator performs duties in the operations, maintenance and repairs necessary at the wastewater treatment plant.
Minimum three years of experience in operation and maintenance of municipal wastewater treatment plant.
Must possess a valid Texas Class "B" commercial driver's license within six months of hire. Current class "C" Wastewater Certification issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Ability to lift weights of 50 pounds alone and up to 100 pounds with assistance. On call 24/7 every set period of time.
The work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.
