Lead Wastewater Operations & Ensure Environmental Compliance!

We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our client's wastewater treatment facility and receiving operations. This role is responsible for supervising operations personnel, monitoring plant performance, maintaining regulatory compliance, and coordinating operational and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, experience in wastewater treatment operations, and the ability to analyze plant performance to improve efficiency and reliability.

What You’ll Do:
  • Supervise and direct personnel responsible for wastewater treatment plant operations.
  • Coordinate training schedules and prioritize daily operational and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain operational records and evaluate plant performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare operational reports including plant performance, chemical usage, sludge production, and equipment downtime.
  • Maintain records and verify billing related to dewatered sludge transported to landfill.
  • Review customer applications and prepare contracts for receiving station services while maintaining contract and insurance documentation.
  • Assist in identifying and prioritizing plant maintenance needs.
  • Communicate with internal teams, contractors, customers, and regulatory agencies regarding plant operations.
  • Support regulatory compliance activities and assist with permit sampling and reporting as needed.
  • Authorize and verify purchase orders and participate in meetings related to plant operations.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with experience or significant experience in wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance (15+ years).
  • Experience supervising or leading personnel in a wastewater treatment or industrial plant environment.
  • Knowledge of activated sludge wastewater treatment processes.
  • Familiarity with sludge dewatering systems and chemical treatment processes.
  • Understanding of environmental regulations governing wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and prepare technical reports.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
  • Class A Wastewater Operator Certification preferred.
