Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a WWTF Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems at a wastewater treatment facility. The role supports reliable plant operations, regulatory compliance, equipment availability, and a safe work environment.

You will inspect pumps, motors, blowers, valves, clarifiers, aeration, and sludge equipment, read schematics, and coordinate with plant operators to minimize process disruption.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in industrial maintenance, municipal utilities, wastewater treatment, manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience maintaining wastewater or water treatment equipment is required.
• Industrial electrical, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA or controls experience.
• Welding, machining, fabrication, or pipefitting experience.
• Experience with pumps, blowers, centrifuges, belt presses, chemical systems, and automated process controls.
• Experience using a CMMS or electronic work-order system.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wastewater treatment equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation problems.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Respond to equipment failures, alarms, spills, and other emergencies.
• Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance logs, and regulatory records.
