Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. in Goodyear, AZ, is seeking an Operator to operate, monitor and maintain wastewater treatment facilities. You will perform sampling, run SCADA, maintain records, and respond to process issues.

Required are a high school diploma, 5 years of wastewater experience, ADEQ Grade 3 license in Arizona, and the ability to work rotating shifts with attention to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of wastewater treatment operations experience.
• ADEQ Grade 3 Wastewater Operator License required in Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
• Monitor pumps, motors, valves, clarifiers, aerators and related systems.
• Collect samples and perform lab tests; adjust processes as needed.
• Maintain logs, test results and compliance records.
• Respond to alarms, upsets and equipment failures.
• Assist in regulatory reporting and inspection readiness.
