Qualifications

• Formal Education/Knowledge: Four years of high school or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in a related field.
• Certifications: Valid Driver’s License, ADEQ Grade I, and progression to ADEQ Grade II and CDL within 12 months.
• Reading: Ability to read technical material and manuals.
• Math: Proficiency with fractions, percentages, ratios, and measurement.
• Writing: Ability to write reports and summaries with proper format and grammar.
• Managerial: Supervision of helpers or interns as needed.
• Policy/Decision Making: Follow SOPs and policies; apply established procedures.
• Technical Skills: Broad practical knowledge of a technical field; analytical decision-making.
• Human Relations Skills: Ability to advise others and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment and conveyance facilities.
• Possess the ability to direct peers and subordinates in routine tasks.
• Safety compliance with OSHA/MAG standards; prepare safety records.
• Perform routine and emergency operational tasks on equipment in the wastewater division.
• Conduct daily facility inspections and record readings; adjust system flow.
• Conduct wastewater process control laboratory analyses and adjust processes for compliance.
• Assist with senior operator duties when needed.
