Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN), parent company of Liberty, seeks a wastewater treatment operator to operate and monitor treatment facilities in Arizona.

The role involves sampling, testing, equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, reliable operations. The position requires at least 3 years of wastewater experience, a valid ADEQ Grade 2 license, and the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of wastewater treatment operations experience.
• Arizona ADEQ Grade 2 Operator License in Wastewater required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
• Monitor pumps, motors, blowers, valves, clarifiers and related systems.
• Collect wastewater samples and perform laboratory tests.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and compliance records.
• Respond to alarms, process upsets and equipment failures.
