Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a Wastewater Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations, ensure permit compliance, and oversee maintenance and irrigation systems. The role covers the full treatment cycle, from biological to mechanical processes, with responsibility for regulatory reporting and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of wastewater/environmental experience.
• Prior experience supervising teams in industrial or utility environments.
• Applicable Wastewater license(s) to operate the Plant.
• Strong knowledge of wastewater and maintenance programs.
• Experience preparing regulatory reports for permits.
• Deep understanding of wastewater and land application regulations.
• Ability to analyze data for compliance and optimization.
• Experience managing facility upgrades or compliance initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with spray irrigation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct management and supervision for operation of the Wastewater facility to achieve operational, regulatory and safety goals.
• Maintenance of wastewater equipment, supervision of contract maintenance, parts inventory and ordering.
• Supervises workforce including scheduling shifts, performance reviews, and ongoing training in advanced treatment processes and irrigation management.
• Initiates and controls the overall Wastewater treatment system including chemical ordering, monitoring, and sampling per permit.
• Ensures policies and procedures for the general operation of the business unit's compliance programs and safety guidelines.
