Manatee County Government is seeking qualified Wastewater Technicians (Tech I–III) to perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair at wastewater facilities, lift stations, and distribution lines. The role includes leading training, reading blueprints, and complying with safety standards.

A CDL is required and standby/on-call rotation is part of the schedule. Starting hourly range is $20.68 to $25.84 with DOQ-based adjustments.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Tech I A requires Class C Wastewater Technician Certification within 18 months of hire.
• Tech I B requires Class C Water or Wastewater Technician Certification and two training classes.
• Tech II requires Class B Wastewater Technician Certification and five training classes.
• Tech III requires Class A Water or Wastewater Technician Certification and nine training classes.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and train others in the proper use of wastewater equipment.
• Install, repair and maintain wastewater pipelines, valves, and backflow preventors.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and as-builts; prepare parts and tools for daily work.
• Maintain records, ensure job site safety, and respond to after-hours calls.
• Participate in standby/on-call rotation as required.
