Job summary

Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation seeks a motivated Maintenance Specialist I to support installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of industrial instrumentation and control loops. The role involves field instruments, pumps, and electrical systems in a safety‑first environment.

The ideal candidate has a foundation in instrumentation, electrical or mechanical maintenance and an eagerness to learn SCADA/PLC environments.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance and repair, instrumentation, process control, electrical systems or power generation engine maintenance.
• Experience with installation, calibration and routine maintenance of flow, level, pressure, and temperature transmitters.
• Experience using digital multimeters or process meters and reading blueprints/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and routine maintenance of industrial wastewater pumps and electrical/instrumentation systems.
• Assist technicians and engineers in installation, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of control systems.
• Assist in fabrication of control panels and cabinetry and maintain maintenance logs.
