Job summary

HDR is a leading engineering and architecture firm seeking a senior leader for the Wastewater Treatment and Effluent Management (WTEM) domain. The WTEM Business Class Director will drive cross-disciplinary technical capabilities, manage risk, and mentor technical leaders across HDR’s national footprint.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 10 years of experience, professional registration, and a strong commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration for technical leadership roles where core service is design.
• Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with HDR business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
• Committed to quality, HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build close working relationships and coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, business groups and operations.
• Lead technical risk management through process and resource reviews and advisory services on projects.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards, and techniques to enhance service quality and efficiency.
• Oversee assignment of qualified staff to projects including worksharing.
