Job summary

Veolia North America is hiring for a wastewater collection system operator in North America. The role involves operating and maintaining sanitary and storm water collection equipment, conducting street sweeping, and responding to customer inquiries while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

CDL B with endorsements is required within 1 year of hire, and a valid driver’s license is essential. The position includes on-site work with potential for emergency call-ins.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience with storm water and sanitary collection systems preferred.
• CDL B with endorsements within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains equipment for sanitary and storm water systems.
• Conducts street sweeping and responds to customer complaints.
• Keeps area and equipment clean and greased.
• Performs maintenance tasks and uses hand/power tools.
• Sets up traffic control and prepares sites for work.
• Inspects equipment at start/end of day and participates in daily tailgate meetings.
• Responds to wastewater and water system emergencies and follows safety regulations.
