Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate and maintain heavy equipment at recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations.

You will load, spread, cover, and compact waste or soil while following safety standards and company policies. Responsibilities include pre/post inspections, operating equipment (forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader), monitoring for unacceptable waste, and performing minor servicing.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of heavy equipment.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader and others.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials.
• Maintain equipment readiness and cleanliness; perform minor servicing as needed.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs to supervisor.
• Follow safety policies; keep shop clean and organized.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
