Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a part-time Convenience Site Attendant to safely direct users at the waste site and assist with proper disposal of waste and recyclables. The role requires strong customer service and the ability to work weekend hours.

Starting pay is $10.50 per hour. The position emphasizes safety, compliance with regulations, and teamwork in a busy outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job.
• Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with others.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and apply to job.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple correspondence and instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Weekend availability as required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Convenience Site according to posted schedule.
• Greet patrons and direct disposal to appropriate containers.
• Maintain clean appearance of site facility and grounds.
• Assist drivers with waste containers and cleanup.
• Monitor waste levels and operate the compactor daily.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Work weekend hours.
• Follow laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
