GFL Environmental is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Convenience Site Attendant in Garner, NC. This part-time role supports daily operations at the local waste and recycling facility, including greeting residents, guiding proper disposal, and maintaining a safe site.

You will operate site equipment, assist drivers, and ensure adherence to safety standards. Weekend availability is required, with duties performed outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with the public and team members.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, safety procedures, and posted guidelines.
• Basic math skills for general site reporting/tracking, if required.
• Ability to work required shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and direct them on proper disposal guidelines for household waste, bulk items, and recyclables.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe site by sweeping and picking up debris.
• Safely operate and monitor facility equipment and track container fill levels.
• Assist collection drivers with positioning and clearance around waste containers during pickups.
• Open and close the facility punctually according to operating hours.
• Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and company guidelines.
