Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Lead Convenient Site Attendant to safely guide customers at the waste site and ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables while maintaining a high standard of service.

The Lead will manage Attendants at assigned sites, greeting patrons, directing disposal, and coordinating with drivers and supervisors. The role requires punctuality, reliable weekend availability, the ability to operate a compactor, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate site equipment and machinery.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and regulations.
• Basic math for handling measurements and waste calculations.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and company policies.
• Ability to supervise Attendants and work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and open/close the site per schedule.
• Greet patrons and direct disposal of waste/recyclables.
• Keep site clean and report spills or hazards.
• Assist drivers with container handling and site cleanup.
• Monitor waste levels and operate the compactor daily.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
