Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking energetic team members for Team Green, responsible for safe waste collection at customer sites and curbside locations, upholding safety and quality standards. You’ll assist drivers, operate basic equipment, and help keep communities clean.

This role emphasizes physical stamina, outdoor work in all weather, teamwork, reliability, and good communication. A high school diploma or GED is a plus; driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• High energy and physical endurance required to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 65 lbs regularly and move up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep communities clean by safely collecting solid waste and recyclables from customer premises and curbside locations.
• Team up with drivers to assist with safe vehicle operations, navigating tight spots and backing up.
• Operate equipment by loading waste into collection vehicles and using compaction equipment safely.
• Perform pre-trip audits of trucks to ensure required equipment is on board (brooms, shovels, safety gear).
• Prioritize safety by conducting equipment checks and wearing PPE per guidelines.
• Interact with customers by tagging prohibited waste items, reporting route issues, and representing GFL professionally.
