Job summary

Recology Vacaville Solano in Vacaville, CA seeks a Commercial Driver to join our team. You will operate an assigned collection vehicle, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure safety procedures are followed while maintaining positive relations with customers.

You will load waste materials per procedures, comply with load limits, and report accidents or hazards promptly. The role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of commercial driving experience (two years preferred).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and waste transport rules.
• Basic computer skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL and valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily routine safety checks and pre-trip inspections.
• Ensures safety measures for operation of assigned vehicle.
• Operates vehicle in service areas promptly and efficiently.
• Loads materials according to procedures and reports violations.
• Ensures hazardous materials are not accepted, as able.
• Maintains compliance with load limits and reports accidents.
• Maintains good customer relations and supports the company image.
