Job summary

Meridian Waste is seeking a Commercial Driver to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services for customers. You will ensure the vehicle meets safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports to identify defects.

Responsibilities include performing pre-/post-operation inspections, servicing routes, loading refuse, and maintaining professional interactions with customers and dispatchers while adhering to safety policies and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Two years of experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
• Excellent reading and writing skills.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate a heavy truck on designated routes and service customers.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material.
• Maintain courteous interaction with customers and dispatchers.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports.
• Follow safety policies and company rules; adhere to all safety standards.
• Additional duties as assigned.
