Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a hands-on operations leader to manage staffing, training, and performance to meet service commitments.

You will ensure safe working conditions and adherence to wage/hour guidelines while overseeing maintenance programs and scheduling safety meetings. The role requires at least a high school diploma and 3+ years in the waste industry, with supervisory experience and SWANA certification within 60 days for transfer stations or related training for landfills.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people-management experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Willingness to comply with wage/hour guidelines and safety standards.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in loud outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Screen, select, hire, train and evaluate personnel to meet service commitments.
• Ensure compliance with wage/hour laws and compensation guidelines.
• Maintain safe working conditions and oversee maintenance programs.
• Schedule safety meetings and document attendance and topics.
