Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a hands-on Site Supervisor to oversee daily waste operations and staff at our Texas facility. You will lead safety programs, manage maintenance, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to deliver reliable service.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in waste operations, supervisory experience, and a record of building productive teams. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will drive efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years experience in the waste industry.
• 1 year supervisory experience.
• SWANA certification for transfer stations within 60 days.
• Landfill experience with baler and bobcat plus HazMat cert training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the workforce to meet service commitments.
• Screen, hire, train, develop and evaluate personnel.
• Adhere to wage/hour laws and compensate staff per guidelines.
• Maintain safe working conditions at each site.
• Develop preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and costs.
• Schedule safety meetings; document attendees and topics.
• Maintain records and manage inventory of supplies.
• Operate equipment as required.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
