Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a site operations leader in Wisconsin to supervise personnel, oversee maintenance and safety, and ensure compliance with regulations. Strong leadership and experience in waste operations are essential.

The role requires 3+ years in waste, supervisory experience, and the ability to manage equipment and safety programs while maintaining productive operations and customer commitments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3+ years in the waste industry preferred.
• 1 year supervisory experience.
• SWANA transfer station operator certification within 60 days of hire.
• For landfills: baler and bobcat operation experience; hazardous materials training.

Responsibilities

• Screen, hire, train and evaluate personnel to meet service commitments.
• Adhere to wage and hour laws and compensate staff accordingly.
• Ensure safe working conditions at each job site.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and cost.
• Schedule safety meetings and document attendance and topics.
• Maintain necessary records and manage inventory of supplies.
• Operate equipment as required and comply with company policies.
• Respect applicable laws and company directives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
