Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• CDL-B with airbrakes and forklift license required or willing to obtain within 3 months.
• Clean driving record with fewer than 5 points; safe driving standards essential.
• Experience in waste industry or related field (minimum 1 year).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Foster accountability, safety and performance for direct reports.
• Set expectations, coach, and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage timekeeping, PTO requests and payroll coding.
• Coordinate daily and weekly staffing plans, schedules and priorities.
• Promote safety culture and lead investigations into incidents/injuries.
• Build relationships with team members through daily communication and recognition.
• Support recruiting, onboarding and training for new associates.
• Collaborate with other departments on work orders and operational needs.
• Lead meetings, maintain documentation and follow up on action items.
• Ensure efficient route operations with strong customer service focus.
