Job summary

Granger Waste Services in Alma, MI is hiring for a full-time leadership role in operations. You will supervise teams, ensure safe, efficient route operations, and coordinate staffing with emphasis on customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Foster accountability, safety and performance for direct reports.
• Set expectations, coach, and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage timekeeping, PTO requests and payroll coding.
• Coordinate daily and weekly staffing plans, schedules and priorities.
• Promote safety culture and lead investigations into incidents/injuries.
• Build relationships with team members through daily communication and recognition.
• Support recruiting, onboarding and training for new associates.
• Collaborate with other departments on work orders and operational needs.
• Lead meetings, maintain documentation and follow up on action items.
• Ensure efficient route operations with strong customer service focus.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the waste industry or a related field
• CDL-B with airbrakes and forklift license required (or ability and willingness to obtain within 3 months)
• Good driving record with fewer than 5 points; meets other safe driving requirements
• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred

• Support special projects as needed

Work Schedule
