Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Gate Attendant/Scale Operator to accurately monitor waste volumes and collect usage fees at our facility in Santa Rosa, CA. You will determine load content for billing, accept or reject loads, and process payments with receipts.

Daily receipts must be balanced and deposited securely while maintaining clear records of all waste entries. The role requires cash handling experience and computer software proficiency; accuracy and customer service are essential as you

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash and balancing cash/receipts.
• Experience using computers and various software programs.

Responsibilities

• Determine content of material to bill the customer.
• Accept or reject waste loads and advise on alternatives.
• Receive payments and provide receipts.
• Balance daily receipts and deposit into safe depository.
• Document waste using truck scales and computer systems.
• Notify operations about special waste and process paperwork.
• Answer telephone and provide general information.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
