Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Gate Attendant/Scale Operator to monitor waste volumes at the post collection site and collect appropriate usage fees from customers. The role involves recording waste content, accepting or rejecting loads, handling payments, and balancing receipts for accurate accounts.

You will also document entries using scales and computer systems, and assist with special waste processing when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash and balancing receipts.
• Experience with computers and various software programs.

Responsibilities

• Receive payment from customers and provide a receipt.
• Balance daily receipts and deposit into the safe depository.
• Document waste entering the facility using truck scales and computer systems.
• Notify operations of special waste and direct/dispatch as needed; process required paperwork.
• Answer telephone and provide general information to callers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
