Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an experienced CDL waste collection driver to operate residential and recycling routes, using side-load or rear-load trucks with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, document route metrics, report vehicle issues, keep the vehicle clean, and ensure compliance with all safety policies; GED/HS diploma, CDL, and 1 year driving experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria and safely operate truck equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection trucks on assigned routes.
• Complete inspections, logs, route sheets and safety reports daily.
• Identify and tag prohibited waste items and maintain route quality.
• Communicate vehicle problems to supervisors and mechanics immediately.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and comply with safety standards.
