Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services. You will ensure compliance with safety standards, complete daily vehicle condition reports, and service customers along assigned routes.

The role requires a Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement and a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and courteous customer interactions at all times.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and service each customer as identified on the route sheet.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, operate the compactor and dispose of material at the facility.
• Interacting courteously with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure timely, professional service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and clean areas around spills following safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle readiness, clean waste from packer blade and truck body as needed.
• Complete route productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports; adhere to productivity standards.
• Follow all safety policies; participate in the company ReSOP program.
