Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services. The role requires adhering to safety standards and completing daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects.

You will perform pre- and post-operation checks, service customers on assigned routes, and maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements. A strong focus on safety and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Commercial driver’s license (Class B or higher) with air brakes endorsement.
• Excellent driving record and ability to operate heavy trucks safely on routes.
• Ability to follow schedules, safety policies and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy.
• Safely operate the collection truck on designated routes and service each customer.
• Read route sheets, follow maps, and coordinate with dispatchers to complete pickups.
• Operate packer controls to lift, load, and dispose of waste at facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers daily.
