Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Technician to maintain an elevated level of homeowner satisfaction by facilitating warranty requests, performing repairs, or scheduling subcontractors for repairs.

The role emphasizes timely, professional service and strong communication with homeowners. As a Fortune 500 company and America’s Builder, the candidate will travel among designated communities, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure repairs are completed to DRH standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three+ years related experience, including carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Must have a vehicle with valid driver's license and be willing to drive among designated communities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Excel in effective and positive communications.
• Ability to work independently and be productive without supervision.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates homeowner repair issues to determine if they are warrantable items.
• Processes work orders and instructions for homeowner repairs.
• Performs repairs such as carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Schedules and manages subcontractors for warranty repairs.
• Ensures repairs meet compliance standards and completes within obligations.
• Develops rapport with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Follows up with homeowners to address concerns promptly and professionally.
• Processes charge-back documentation and invoices.
• Maintains professional conduct to support customers and company profits.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel overnight.
