Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Technician to maintain an elevated level of homeowner satisfaction by coordinating warranty repairs and scheduling subcontractors. The role involves hands-on repair work and effective communication with homeowners after home closing.

The technician will perform carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting, manage work orders, ensure compliance with company standards, and document warranties and invoices. Travel to communities may be required.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 3+ years experience in carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to travel between communities.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with MS Office and DRH Warranty app.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine warranty eligibility.
• Process work orders and relay instructions to technicians.
• Perform carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting repairs.
• Schedule subcontractors and manage warranty repairs.
• Ensure repairs meet compliance standards and document invoices.
• Develop rapport with homeowners and follow up to close issues.
• Travel between communities and work overtime as needed.
• Handle charge-back documentation for warranty work.
