Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of experience; or an Associate degree with 5+ years of experience; or 10+ years of experience.
• Experience with automotive OEM warranty systems (GM, Ford, Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, PACCAR, BMW, Nissan, Toyota, Honda).
• Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, Power Query; experience with macros preferred.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific automotive quality requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for customer warranty concerns with timely response and resolution.
• Review warranty claims for validity; dispute unsupported claims; ensure compliance with requirements and agreements.
• Defend against No Trouble Found claims and lead Technical Factor negotiations with customers.
• Meet customer timing requirements for ITRs, 8Ds, and other deliverables.
• Maintain accurate records of claims, investigations, corrective actions, and resolutions.
• Use SAP for warranty data entry, sales order creation, and claim tracking.
• Lead and support root cause investigations using 8D and 5-Why methodologies.

This role works closely with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve warranty concerns, drive corrective actions, and improve product quality. The position requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to effectively manage warranty claims, document findings, maintain accurate records, and support customer and internal reporting requirements. This is a hybrid position located in Farmington Hills, MI.

This role works closely with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve warranty concerns, drive corrective actions, and improve product quality. The position requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to effectively manage warranty claims, document findings, maintain accurate records, and support customer and internal reporting requirements. This is a hybrid position located in Farmington Hills, MI.

Your Main Activities Will Be

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer warranty concerns, ensuring timely response, investigation, and resolution.
• Review customer warranty claims for validity, dispute unsupported claims, and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and warranty agreements.
• Defend the company against No Trouble Found (NTF) claims and lead Technical Factor negotiations with customers.
• Adhere to customer timing requirements for Initial Technical Responses (ITRs), 8Ds, and other warranty-related deliverables.
• Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, investigations, corrective actions, and resolutions.
• Utilize SAP for warranty-related data entry, sales order creation, and claim tracking.
• Lead and support root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D and 5-Why analysis.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field, plus 1+ year of relevant experience; or an Associate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; or 10+ years of related work experience.
• Experience with automotive OEM warranty systems (e.g., GM, Ford, Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, PACCAR, BMW, Nissan, Toyota, Honda).
• Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and data analysis tools; experience with macros is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action development.
