Job summary

Trapper’s Sushi is seeking a Host/Cashier in Surprise, AZ to warmly greet guests, manage the flow of the front of house, and process takeout orders and payments. This role emphasizes friendly, efficient service and a clean, organized host stand.

You will interact with guests, coordinate seating, and collaborate with servers and management to ensure a smooth dining experience. Prior guest-service experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in fast-paced environments.
• Attention to detail when entering orders and processing payments.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must obtain a valid Food Handler’s Permit or State Food Worker Card before first day.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create memorable experiences.
• Manage waitlist, seating rotation, and table availability.
• Answer phones and enter takeout orders.
• Process payments cash or card per procedures.
• Keep host stand, lobby, menus, and restrooms tidy.
• Coordinate with servers, managers, and kitchen staff on seating and requests.
• Monitor lobby and assist guests with accessibility needs.
• Assist with packaging takeout orders during busy periods.
