Job summary

Avamere at St Helens is seeking a part-time Server to provide exceptional dining service in a memory care, assisted living, and/or independent living setting. You will take orders, serve meals, set up and clean the dining area, and ensure residents have a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities include accurately recording orders, delivering meals with courtesy, assisting with room service, and maintaining table settings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and hair containment.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Know dietary practices and related laws for hospital/nursing home operation.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record and deliver meal and beverage orders to residents.
• Deliver food promptly and courteously, presenting meals attractively.
• Provide attentive service and address residents' requests during meals.
• Set up dining room, maintain cleanliness, and reset tables after service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents' apartments.
• Be familiar with menu and dietary needs, answer questions.
• Interact professionally with residents and guests to create warmth.
• Follow food safety/hygiene procedures and proper sanitation.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen team for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
