Job summary

Avamere Living is seeking a Part-Time Server for memory care, assisted living and independent living facilities in Portland. You will provide excellent dining service, take orders, serve meals, and ensure a positive experience for residents and guests in a warm, professional environment.

Responsibilities include delivering orders, maintaining dining room setup, and collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure quality service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintaining high personal hygiene standards during shifts.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have Food Handlers card issued by local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and related laws for hospital and nursing home operation.
• Friendly, attentive and professional demeanor with residents and guests.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver meal and beverage orders accurately.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.
• Check on residents' needs during meals and address requests.
• Set up dining room and maintain cleanliness before, during and after meals.
• Clear and reset tables for next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents.
• Be familiar with menu and dietary accommodations; answer questions.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per policy.
