Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Warehouse Worker, Part-time. This position supports our distribution and receiving operations in a fast-paced food service environment.

Duties include receiving products, verifying quantities, assembling and filling orders, stocking inventory, and maintaining accurate records. We conduct pre-employment drug testing and are an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Experience in a large food warehouse preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Capable of working in temperature extremes and humidity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all functions of distribution and receiving for the warehouse.
• Receive products and verify quantity and description.
• Assemble and fill orders to be shipped.
• Stock incoming orders and maintain accurate inventories.
• Follow proper receiving procedures and safety policies.
• Report issues to management, including cleanliness, safety, or security concerns.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in all functions of the distribution and receiving for the warehouse
• Receive products coming into the warehouse
• Verify quantity and description of products
• Assemble and fill orders to be shipped
• Stock incoming orders
• Maintain accurate physical inventories
• Ensure all distribution and receiving in a timely and orderly manner
• Follow proper receiving procedures
• Comply with all AVI policies and procedures, including but not limited to security procedures
• Communicate any issues of concern to management (i.e. cleanliness, safety concerns, or security concerns)

Requirements:

• Previous large food warehouse experience is preferred
• Great work ethic
• Ability to be exposed to temperature extremes and humidity
• Ability to maintain a fast pace and multi-task
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
