Job description

Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines. Must adhere to safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements.
Must be able to identify and understand customer requirements.
Attendance is an essential function.
Must demonstrate the ability to perform essential and non-essential tasks related to the job. Successful Partners must follow and maintain PCPs, Critical Control Points, and Safety Procedures. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely. The material handler position is not line-specific. All operator bid holders must be cross-functional.

Must have excellent communication skills.

  • Gain and maintain an understanding of warehouse computer systems.
  • Willing to perform duties assigned and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must have excellent housekeeping and organization skills.
  • Must be certified or able to be certified to drive a forklift at Schreiber Foods.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand
  • Walk

  • Lift/Carry up to 50 pounds
  • Repetitive case stacking to build loads

Rate of Pay:

  • $21.77 per hour ($20.88 plus $1.50 per hour certification pay)
  • Additional $0.50 per hour for second shift
  • Additional $1.00 per hour for third shift

Shift/Schedule:

  • 1st Shift (6 am to 2 pm)
  • 2nd Shift (2 pm to 10 pm)
  • 3rd Shift (10 pm to 6 am)

Overtime is expected; weekend work is common. Overtime is paid at 1.5x for hours over 8 per day, double time on Sundays, and time and a half on Saturdays. The workweek includes a guaranteed 40 hours.
