As a warehouse worker, you will perform a variety of functions, primarily as a labor-intensive material handler. This involves manually selecting products listed on customer orders, palletizing them, and loading them onto trucks in sequential order. You may also be responsible for receiving products into inventory, which also requires labor-intensive handling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist in shipping and receiving responsibilities, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
2. Prepare orders by selecting specific items, staging them in designated areas, and packing boxes or handling products to address quality issues.
3. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or pallets according to organizational standards.
4. Open bales, crates, and containers.
5. Maintain inventory controls by recording stock location, printing requests, and tracking received or distributed materials via computer. Assist in physical inventory counts.
6. Prepare parcels for shipping.
7. Keep the work environment safe and clean by maintaining shelves, pallet areas, and workstations; sweep, dust, and mop as needed; organize the warehouse.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Skills in inventory management, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer use are a plus.

Physical Demands and Abilities

• Regularly use hands for handling, reaching, and talking or hearing.
• Lift and move objects weighing 10-75 lbs., occasionally over 100 lbs.
• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently; sit and climb or balance occasionally.
• Operate electric pallet jacks and reach machines; push or pull hand trucks.
• Visual and hearing abilities to operate machinery and work in noisy environments.
• Work in refrigerated coolers and outdoor environments with temperatures from 25 to 100 degrees, in cool and wet conditions.

Must be able to multitask, reprioritize, make quick decisions, and follow supervisor commands. Attendance is required.
