Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute training at the site.
  • Report to the Group Logistics Manager and coordinate with the Safety Manager on training.
  • Administer on-the-job and PIT training for new and existing employees, including cross-training.
  • Update and maintain training documents and help create new documents for departments and job functions.
  • Complete HR paperwork and assigned administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate department activities and special projects to meet quality and timetables.
  • Direct staff in developing, analyzing and performing job tasks.
  • Supervise staff according to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist staff in resolving complex or out-of-policy operational problems.
  • Conduct interviews, hire staff and provide employee orientation.
  • Coach staff and provide career development advice.
  • Manage staff scheduling, assignments, rotations, training, vacations, breaks, overtime and absence coverage.
  • Perform standard work audits to ensure process adherence.
  • Coordinate site safety activities with the Safety Manager, including OSHA and forklift training.
  • Evaluate department processes and recommend and coordinate changes.
  • Establish employee goals and conduct performance reviews.
  • Communicate with other Supervisors and Managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Update and maintain existing training documents and help create new documents for departments and job functions
  • Complete Human Resource paperwork and assigned administrative tasks
  • Coordinate department activities and special projects to meet quality and timetables
  • Coordinate appropriate staffing levels with the Group Manager Logistics
  • Direct staff in developing, analyzing and performing job tasks
  • Supervise staff according to company policies and procedures
  • Assist staff in resolving complex or out-of-policy operational problems
  • Conduct interviews, hire staff and provide employee orientation
  • Coach staff and provide career development advice
  • Manage staff scheduling, assignments, rotations, training, vacations, breaks, overtime and absence coverage

Requirements
  • H.S. Diploma/GED, Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Preferred
  • 1 year or more driving various PIT equipment, Required
  • 3 years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry-related field, Preferred
  • 1 year or more Training / Leadership background, Preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, Required
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization, Required
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, Required
  • Flexibility and self-drive to excel in a fast-paced environment, Required
  • Capable of multitasking; highly organized, with excellent time management skills, Required
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices, Required
  • User-level knowledge of Windows and MS Office, Intermediate, Required
  • Must be available to work additional hours, days and varying schedules as necessary to meet business demands
  • Must meet any applicable additional screening, employment and education verification, motor vehicle records, road test, badging or customer background requirements
